“The first step is to fully believe in people’s capacity to act together to change their lives and to change the world.”

Photo Voice

Photo voice is a methodology which builds people’s skills and confidence to voice opinions, perspectives and tell their own story in a way where we can see the world through their eyes.

It provides a means for people to have their say without requiring them to stand up and speak in public – showing rather than telling how they feel.

The approach can be tailored to suit any audience - we’ve worked with a wide range of people in various settings.

We can also offer Photovoice as part of professional development for Community Development practitioners and any one in a paid role seeking to enhance their engagement efforts.

Whether working with informal voluntary groups, large Charities & Public Sector organisations to Schools and Colleges - Photovoice is designed to be accessible and engaging.

Photovoice is an organic creative process during which careful attention is given to peoples’ stories, and they are fully in control of how their stories are presented, retold and shared.

Photovoice can be facilitated in person or online - to discuss how photographs can support communication, connection and community in your setting please get in touch using the form below.
