Slaithwaite Moonraking Festival 2023

Back in 2017 I was invited to photography the Slaithwaite Moonraking Festival you can see the photos from that event HERE it was a wonderful experience and made even more lovely by the fact that it is my home village so it was great to be able to support something in my local community.

Fast forward to 2023 and I was delighted to have been asked to be the official photographer again!

In the run up to this years event it was great to see some of my old photographs in print and online HERE, HERE and HERE.

The event usually runs every two years but thanks to COVID 2017 was the last full in person festival so this years event felt doubly special!

The rain couldn’t dampen our spirits, everyone got soaking wet and everyone had huge smiles on their faces!

A huge thank you to everyone involved in the festival from those organising things, everyone who made a lantern or came out to show their support and those who kept everyone safe and made sure things ran smoothly on the night.
